# New Chief Executive at ProShare

**ProShare, the not-for-profit organisation that encourages wider share ownership
and promotes investor education, has announced that Michelle Doughty, successful
author of ‘The Joy of Money’ will succeed Diane Hay as Chief Executive.**

Michelle Doughty will take up the post on 5 April 2004. A former City stockbroker
and a financial journalist, she joins ProShare from the Royal Shakespeare Company
where she was employed as a Major Donor Fundraiser.
