# Plan UK offers festive screensaver

**Children’s charity Plan UK is once again offering an advent calendar screensaver
for download from its Web site.**

The screensaver, available for both Windows PCs and Macs, features pictures, stories
and audio files from the communities around the world where Plan works, together
with a reminder to become a Plan’s sponsor and to forward it onto friends and families.

The Web site too features a facility to promote the free screensaver to friends,
family and colleagues via e-mail.

The screensaver has been offered again following its success last year. OD Consultancy
has produced both screensavers. In both years, however, the link to “sponsor a child”
requires the user to visit the Plan UK Web pages. For many people on dial-up this
might not be straightforward, or even expected given that they are viewing a screensaver.
Perhaps the calendar should have featured page with further details about sponsoring
a child, rather than requiring the viewer to visit a Web site.

Plan Ireland is also offering a similar free screensaver.
