# Amnesty International Ireland to raise funds with e-cards - Link: https://fundraising.co.uk/2003/12/05/amnesty-international-ireland-raise-funds-ecards/ - Published: 2003-12-05T00:00:00+00:00 - Author: Howard Lake **Amnesty International (AI) Ireland has launched a new e-card site that it hopes will raise funds for the human rights organisation.** AI Ireland has worked with specialist e-card designers CARDmarket to create www. amnestyecards.com. The site offers a selection of e-cards across four themes: Love and Friendship, General greetings (such as New Home), Christmas wishes and Irish sentiments. Although the eCARDS are free, users are invited to make a donation to the charity and to join the organisation. Amnesty Ireland Trading Manager Lino Olivieri said: “We decided to set up a new e-card site as we believe that free e-cards are an ideal way of attracting large numbers of visitors to our site, so publicising worldwide the work of Amnesty International’s Irish operation. We see e-cards as a very important part of our marketing activities.” ## Advertisement [⌊Posthub advert. You create the campaign. We'll handle the postal journey. The cards can be sent to individual recipients or to multiple e-mail addresses. Once the card is sent, the sender is encouraged to sign up to receive AI Ireland’s e-mail updates, and to make a donation or a purchase. CARDmarket is an all-Ireland marketing organisation for Irish artists and craftspeople. It is supported by The Crafts Council of Ireland and Invest Northern Ireland. * **[Advert > Internet fundraising course – places available](https://fundraising.co.uk/2003/12/05/advertgt-internet-fundraising-course-places-available/)**( 5 December 2003) * **[Plan UK offers festive screensaver](https://fundraising.co.uk/2003/12/12/plan-uk-offers-festive-screensaver/)**( 12 December 2003) * **[etribes Creates Interactive Web/WAP site for FFI](https://fundraising.co.uk/2003/12/15/etribes-creates-interactive-webwap-site-ffi/)**( 15 December 2003)
