# SocietyGuardian publishes more on Giving List 2003

**SocietyGuardian.co.uk has now published more content and comment on The Giving
List 2003, published at no charge in Monday’s issue of The Guardian newspaper.**

Although there is no full publication of the list itself, SocietyGuardian has now
published a range of items about this year’s Giving List. There is a report about
the 103 companies that manage to give at least 1% of their pre-tax profits to charity.
Liza Ramrayka looks at why corporate giving still lags far behind individual donations
as a major source of charity income. There is also comment on corporate giving in
Europe and the USA.

Derek Higgs comments on how corporate governance must play a key role in shaping
corporate behaviour, and Prem Sikka calls on the treasury select committee to investigate
corporate social responsibility and organised tax avoidance.
