Charity Challenge is BAE Systems’ company-wide charity fundraising programme that
involves more than 100 sites across all countries of its operations. Last year’s
programme raised almost £6 million for charities worldwide and provided more than
3,500 days of volunteering by employees.

The international element of the Charity Challenge began on 22 September 2003 at
sunrise in Sydney, Australia, and ran until sunset in San Diego, USA. More than
sixty sites across the globe staged events including balloon launches and fun-fairs.
