The people behind the Big Issue have

launched an online consumer self-help service which will donate 50% of sales to
the Big Issue.
BigIssueLists.co.uk offers over a hundred well researched, up-to-
date and easy-to-use checklists to to help consumers get things get done. It has
been three years in the making, but retains the Big Issue focus on homelessness

The checklists are aimed at getting one over life’s sticky moments, around tight
corners or through boring, stressful everyday tasks.

Big Issue founder John Bird, first dreamed up this new social business idea by becoming
aware of his own pressured life and work. He said: “All we busy people have to do
is follow the action lists step-by-step to get done what plain and simply needs
doing. I’m all for an easier life for us all and by using this new self-help service
our customers will also be contributing directly to our work with homeless people

too. Everybody wins.”

Charities with an online presence can also generate income from this new initiative.
BigIssueLists.co.uk is offering to split the Big Issue’s 50% with any charity that
can generate sales via buttons and links on their site. After VAT, 25% of any sales
generated from your charity’s site will be donated to your charity and 25% will
go to The Big Issue. Even better, this offer is open not just to charities but social
businesses too.
