# Charity Consultants launches specialist prospect research company

Charity Consultants Ltd, the network of fundraising consultants, has announced the
full launch of Prospecting for Gold, a new specialist prospect research company.

Prospecting for Gold has grown out of the research unit established 12 years ago
by Charity Consultants Ltd to support its work with clients on capital appeals.

Since 1990 Charity Consultants has spent almost £2 million in creating a database
of 130,000 wealthy and influential individuals. Any charity or not for profit organisation
can now take advantage of this prospect research expertise.

Prospecting for Gold provides database screening, new prospects research, in depth
profiles, company research, a grant finding service, and a free seminar programme.

Charity Consultants has for some time offered initial free advice, particularly 
for ACEVO members. Prospecting for Gold follows in that tradition by offering any
organisation the potential opportunity of a free initial snapshot screening of their
databases against the Prospecting for Gold database.

Andrew Thomas, Chief Executive, explains: “We are very excited about being able 
to offer our experience and skills in prospect research to the charity sector for
the first time. Over 12 years we have built up the largest database of potential
major donors in the UK and a wealth of experience in the sourcing of new prospects
and creating in depth profiles on individuals. We want the sector to be able to 
benefit from this unique asset.”
