The BBC tonight gives viewers the chance to vote to save one of the nation’s threatened
architectural treasures and raise funds via their ‘phone call.
Tonight Griff Rhys
Jones introduces the first episode of ‘Restoration’, the BBC2 TV series that mixes
heritage fundraising with Big Brother. “Your chance to make a mark on History”,
claims the BBC.

Viewers can vote for their favourite building by calling 0901 077 77 77. Calls are
charged at 30p with a minimum of 17.9p from every vote going towards the restoration
of the winning building.

The winning building gets the restoration funding, the others presumably get nothing.
Telephone lines are open from 2am on Thursday 7 August to midnight on Saturday 9
August 2003.
