Fundraising specialist and author Ken Burnett will deliver the keynote address at
the Blackbaud 2nd annual European Conference for Non-profits in London in October.

Burnett’s theme will be “Brilliant Fundamentals: Four Stories that Should Shape
Our Approach to Fundraising.” He will use four different stories to illustrate what
he believes are some of the most important fundamentals in fundraising today:

 * What is a donor?
 * Why do donors give non-profits their money?
 * How can we learn from the experiences of other fundraisers?
 * Why, ultimately, are we here, doing what we do?

Burnett served on the board of The Resource Alliance for seven years, is a former
vice chairman of the Institute of Fundraising, is a Fellow of the Institute of Fundraising
and is an Honorary Fellow of the Institute of Direct Marketing. He is currently
chairman of the board of trustees of ActionAid, now one of Britain’s top-twenty
charities, is a patron of the Charity Technology Trust and a member of council of
BookAid International.

The second European Conference for Non-profits will take place from 20-21 October
2003 at The Millennium Gloucester Hotel in London.
