The Sun has published the “Soap rich list”, detailing the wealthiest 12 TV soap
stars.
This is the first time the Sun has published this list. The two-page feature
was put together with the research advice of “renowed wealth watchdog” Dr Philip
Beresford.

Commenting on the dominance of actors in “Coronation Street”, Beresford told The
Sun: “it’s no surprise that the residents of Weatherfield are richer than their
rivals in Albert Square. They have been at it longer – about twice as long in fact.”

The list is topped by Sue Nicholls, Audrey Roberts in “Coronation Street”, with
an estimated wealth of £4.2 million. She is followed by Johnny Briggs (“Mike Baldwin”)
at £3.9 million, and ex-Boyzone member Keith Duffy (“Ciaran McCarthy”) at £3.8 million.
