**The first ever Parliamentary Review Ride, organised by the All-Parliamentary Motor
Cycling Group, took place in London on Saturday 10 May and raised £14,000 for the
NSPCC FULL STOP Appeal.**

Four times World Superbike Champion, Carl Fogarty, whose Petronas Racing Superbike
Team has adopted the NSPCC as its Charity of the Year, led hundreds of riders –
in a police-escorted convoy – from the legendary Ace Café to the Houses of Parliament.
Here they were ‘waved in’ by Steve Norris, former MP, London mayoral candidate and
President of the Motor Cycle Industry Association.

MPs among the riders included Steve Pound MP (Ealing North) and Public Health Minister,
Hazel Blears MP (Salford), who are both keen bike enthusiasts.

Many of the bikers who had raised money for the NSPCC through sponsorship were given
a tour of the House of Commons after the ride. The day was rounded off for the riders
with tea on the Terrace.

The ride could become an annual event.
