The six-strong team are responsible for promoting the organisation and raising an

Ethnic (BME) voluntary organisations in the UK.
The team consists of Head of Communications
Matthew Sowemimo, Head of Direct Marketing Michael Lefante, Direct Marketing Officer
Usha Tharmalingam, Head of Fundraising Swazi Maini and Marketing Administrator/Researcher

The Ethnic Minority Foundation was established in 1999 to build a secure base for
Britain’s minority ethnic communities.

It aims to recruit 100,000 BME professionals as donors to the endowment fund of
£100m and as volunteers in the movement for social regeneration. It has already
begun building the capacity of the BME voluntary sector and encouraging BME professionals
to donate to the foundation.
