List broker Occam Direct Marketing has announced that the National Canine Defence
League (NCDL) has added 180,580 names to its Sponsor a Dog list.
The Sponsor a Dog
list now comprises 246,580 names.

The list profile is mainly female, aged 25 – 45 years old with high income levels.
Interests include books, lotteries, gardening, cookery, competitions and DIY. The
bulk of the list has been recruited through TV advertising (mainly satellite channels)
backed up with off-the-page advertising.

The NCDL is the UK’s largest dog welfare charity and last year cared for over 11,500
stray and abandoned dogs at its nationwide network of 15 re-homing centres. It never
destroys a healthy dog in its care no matter how long it takes to match the right
dog with the right owner.
