But will you retain your ranking when Google updates its index? Given Google’s dominance in the Web search engine market, it’s worth spending time tweaking your charity’s Web site’s design and link promotion to ensure that you have a high ranking on the site. A new free tool can help you track your ranking over time and perhaps even indicate how your ranking will perform when Google next updates its index. Some Web site owners believe that it is possible to view upcoming Google updates on the servers www2.google.com and www3.google.com. These are assumed to be test servers indicating the content of the next updates. The Google Dance tool is a free Web-based tool that lets you view the search results on up to seven of these servers.
