AbilityNet and Abbey National are offering Web site audits free of charge to 15
UK-based charities.
The audit is designed to highlight the key accessibility issues
that would otherwise prevent easy access for those with a range of disabilities
including visual impairment, dyslexia and keyboard and mouse difficulties.

All applicants for the free audits, whether successful or not, will receive a free“
Key Website Accessibility Guide” information pack that will include information
on accessible Web design, including examples of good practice and useful hints and
tips based on AbilityNet’s extensive experience in this area.

To apply for a free Key Audit, and to receive a free “Key Website Accessibility
Guide”, you will need to complete an online application form. The Guide will be
available from 1 November.

and organisations informed of the result of their application on 1 November.

AbilityNet says that “all applications will be evaluated on their merits” and that“
a broad range of organisation types and sizes will be considered.”
