Ian Kerr of Midas Charity Appeals explains how simple it can be to add a few more
potential legators to your tally.
“So far this year I have been involved in designing
3 legacy campaigns. In each I ask trustees to sign a codicil and be quoted as doing
so the literataure before it goes to their supporters.

“In order to get trustees agreeing, I first ask the Chair, often saying that I would
like to use his or her photo and words of dedication on the leaflet.

“In each case they agreed, and it took less than 120 seconds. The fastest ask in
fundraising with the quickest response?”
