Iris, the new film about the late Iris Murdoch who had Alzheimer’s disease in the
last few years of her life, offers an excellent opportunity for the Alzheimer’s
Society to promote its work and services. Their Web site is a key element of this
promotion.

Iris, the new film about the late Iris Murdoch who had Alzheimer’s disease in the

Society to promote its work and services. Their Web site is a key element of this
promotion.

In addition to benefiting from the gala screening of the film on 13 January, the
charity has also created a cinema advert. The 40-second advert ends with the message‘
Don’t cope alone’ and displays the Alzheimer’s Helpline telephone number and Web
address.

Sensibly the charity is using its Web site to ensure an even wider audience for
this advert. They encourage visitors to view it or download it. Naturally, at 3.05Mb,
the video is a large file.

The charity’s Web page on the film also includes details of the cinemas at which
the film will be screened.
