Comic Relief is encouraging online followers of the Celebrity Big Brother programme
to vote online for the housemates. To ensure that online votes still raise the 15.5p
that normal telephone voters raise, the charity has teamed up with Global Internet
Billing. Online voters are disconnected from their ISP and reconnected to a premium
rate ‘phone number. Comic Relief explains how it works to would-be voters at the
Big Brother page.

on credit cards as the main method of online donations. Read UK Fundraising’s coverage
from April 2000.
