# Lottery Commission chairman appointed

Former permanent secretary to the Treasury Lord Burns has been appointed as chairman
of the National Lottery Comission. He has been a senior Treasury civil servant for
18 years. He takes over from Dame Helena Shovelton who resigned last week.
