# Public private sector partnerships

New draft guidance has been issued by the 4Ps, the agency that oversees the function
of Private Finance Initiative contracts in England and Wales. The Private Finance
Initiative (PFI) is commonly used as part of area-based regeneration programmes 
to pay for the development of new capital facilities like schools and hospitals.

Copies of the draft guidance are available from the 4Ps and the consultation period
ends on 31 July 2000.
