Ivan Wainewright of IT for Charities has
announced a free [Web-based Gift Aid calculator](http://www.itforcharities.co.uk/pr/giftaid.htm)
for charities to add to their Web sites. The Javascript calculator will let visitors
to a charity’s Web site calculate how much their tax-efficient gift would be worth.

A second version of the calculator will tell higher rate tax-payers how much they
can claim back in tax if they make a Gift Aid donation.

The calculator scripts are available at no charge to any UK charity.
