The Charity Commission
today recovered £45,000 of charitable funds from Mr Ronald Morrissey, the former
chairman of the Sherburn House Charity. Following the Commission’s actions, the
Court has ordered Mr Morrissey, Mr Graham Pattison the former Master of the Charity,
and his wife Mrs Valerie Pattison to repay over £200,000 to the charity. The money
had been spent on cars, a pension fund and payments to another organisation controlled
by two of the individuals involved.
