The Millennium is now well and truly sandwiched by fundraising programmes. The Children’s
Promise involves agreeing to donate the value of your salary for the last hour of

The Millennium is now well and truly sandwiched by fundraising programmes. The [Children’s Promise](http://www.marks-and-spencer.co.uk/promise)
involves agreeing to donate the value of your salary for the last hour of the last
day of 1999. Now a group of charities have joined together to launch First Cheque
2000 to encourage you to make your first cheque of the new Millennium a charitable
