The Web address www.computer.com has just been sold for a remarkable $500,000. Internet
company Zappy Zapolin bought the memorable address from a US man whose computer
programmer wife suggested he might like to register such generic names in 1994.
This beats the $150,000 paid for www.business.com in 1997.

domain names at such profit. But you never know. If we hear about any entrepreneurial
foresight by UK charities we’ll report it here.
