made by Norah Hecksher who died in November aged 77. The charity will also benefit

Mrs Hecksher’s wealth stems from her family which set up the Liverpool corn and
animal feed merchants J Bibby and Sons.

Although Mrs Hecksher had been a supporter of NCDL the charity had no idea that
she planned to leave them a bequest.

The bequest coincides with the lanch of NCDL’s Web site, which was featured in The
Daily Telegraph’s Connected. You can find out how to adopt a dog, sponsor a dog
that is too traumatised to be adopted, and buy a variety of dog products.
