Seven months
ago Charities Aid Foundation launched the CharityCard secure donation facility.
For the first time, donors with tax-efficient personal charity accounts could make
donations to charities from those accounts via the Web. Since the launch, over £
80,000 has been given by UK tax-paying donors to charities involved in the scheme,
reports CAF. By the end of March 1999 this had risen to £85,000, representing over
1000 donations.
