In an inspired and long-overdue move, a major Internet search engine has teamed
up with a children’s non-profit to spread the word about missing children. The [Lycos Search for Missing Children](http://www.lycos.com/missingkids)
involves Lycos carrying banner adverts by the US National Center for Missing and
Exploited Children. Each advert carries details and a photograph of one of the thousands
of missing children currently being searched for. To achieve such national and international
coverage on a popular search site is an excellent achievement by the NCMEC.
