[Ebase](http://www.ebase.org) from Desktop Assistance is a contacts database that
is free for nonprofits. Ebase lets you keep all your organisation’s data, such as
memberships, donations, activist information, in one place, and “provide secure,
easy-to-learn access to everyone who needs to use it”.
You can use it to send email
directly from your database, merging data in the text of an email message to personalize
communications; and you can customize your database to make it match the changing
needs of your organisation.

“We are the geeks for good – creative, dedicated, user-friendly”, say Desktop Assistance,
the nonprofit that makes technology accessible and affordable to citizen-based nonprofits.
