How do you raise funds on the Internet? From [anoraks](http://www.firstdirect.co.uk/anorak/Pages/intro.html)
of course. Shelter and First Direct are running an online fundraising appeal based
on the amusing idea of getting rid of the Internet’s image as the home of computer-
nerd ‘anoraks’. And what better solution than to take your anorak to a Shelter charity
shop so that it can be used or sold to help Shelter’s work with the homeless? A
First Direct spokesperson said of their Anorak Amnesty, “We believe the time has
come to dispose of the ‘anoraks’ and at the same time support a good cause”.
