# Compassion fatigue in domain name spat

A row has broken out over who has the right to use the domain name compassion.com.

The right domain name is recognised by many companies as an important marketing 
tool. The disputes over names such as prince.com, harrods.com and macdonalds.com
have now hit the nonprofit sector.

There is now a dispute over who has the right to use the domain name “compassion.
com.” Further information is available on the lawsuit and from the original holders
of the domain name.
