# Capital good result with online fundraising

Capital Radio raised nearly £1000 online for Help A London Child in one week in 
March when it accepted online donations as part of its annual telethon.
“We were
very happy with this, given the fear and misinformation surrounding online credit
card transactions”, Webmaster Tom Loosemoore told UK Fundraising.

“The site sits very well with the telephone pledge service, since the phones are
often jammed, which is never the case for the site”.

Plans for 1998 include integrating the whole Help A London Child auction into the
Web site.
