Comic Relief is now for the first time accepting secure online donations courtesy
of BT WebWorld.
[Comic Relief](http://www.comicrelief.org.uk) is also running the
[Red Site Day](http://www.comicrelief.org.uk/red.html) whereby they are encouraging
supporters to add one of a selection of logos to their own web pages, the “first
ever Net-wide charity site link up.”

And the [result](http://www.comicrelief.org.uk/newsroom/comedy.html)? “On the night,
through BT WebWorld technology, a fantastic £10,000 in donations were taken on the
World Wide Web and since then the figure has shot up to £26,000 with an average
donation of £27 per person”.
