Just days after announcing a three year strategic partnership with B&Q, Help the Aged, in a collaborative tie-up with the NSPCC, will check-in as Morrisons Charity of the Year 2008. Having been runner-up in its 2007 pitch, the Charity took a strategic decision to join forces with the UK’s best known children’s charity thus presenting an irresistible special offer to the supermarket chain.

The United Nations Foundation is to support the "Say NO to Violence against Women" campaign by the UN Development Fund for Women, UNIFEM by donating $1 for each of the first 100,000 signatures to the online campaign. The donations will be passed to the UNIFEM-managed UN Trust Fund to End Violence against Women.
