Disney donates £1 million to Great Ormond Street Hospital

The Evening Standard reports that Disney has donated £1 million to Great Ormond Street Hospital, the entertainment company's biggest charity partnership outside the USA. It will help the charity to raise £10 million in total.

Bank selects Cancer Fund for Children as 2008 partner

The Northern Bank in Northern Ireland has selected the Northern Ireland Cancer Fund for Children as its charity partner for 2008.

Enable Interactive to revitalise warchildmusic.com site

Bristol-based digital agency Enable Interactive has been awarded the contract to rebuild the War Child Music site, which aims to engage music fans, raise funds through downloads, and encourage support for the charity from younger audiences.

The agency, which has good professional links itself with the music industry, has already helped War Child redevelop its main website.

M&S and Oxfam launch clothing recycling campaign to raise funds

Marks & Spencer and Oxfam have joined forces to launch the M&S and Oxfam Clothes Exchange, "the biggest programme in the UK to encourage consumers to recycle their clothes". It will raise money for Oxfam as well as reduce the one million tonnes of clothing sent by the public to landfill in the UK each year.

As the British Heart Foundation (BHF) launches a virtual world games website to combat “junk food advertising”, the NSPCC is promoting its fundraising partnership with Richmond Sausages through a virtual Banger Rescue game. The focus of the Banger Rescue game is to navigate as many sausages as possible onto two hungry looking children’s plates using one’s keyboard arrows.
