Trinity Hospice expects to raise £60,000 from its Light Up A Life appeal, beating last year's total by £10,000.
Over 700 supporters of Clapham-based Trinity Hospice joined celebrities Geraldine James and Huw Edwards on 13 December 2007, to celebrate its 'Light Up A Life' Christmas appeal.

Rotary International in Great Britain and Ireland has distributed £112,000 in the third tranche of grants from money raised for its Rotary Flood Disaster Appeal. Funds distributed include those raised from Fashion For Relief, a charity fashion show organised by Naomi Campbell at the end of London Fashion Week.

Christmas fundraising campaigns by 14 Emap radio stations have raised £1.5 million to help underprivileged children.
Toys valued at over £500,000 were collected in England and distributed to over 10,000 youngsters across the country in time for Christmas.

The Kent Charities Group, a group of 10 Kent-registered charities, has raised over £4,000 from a Christmas raffle to help eight registered charities across the county. The funds will be distributed between the Kent Charities Group to assist the participating charities in improving the quality of life for Kent residents.
