Irish charities could benefit by over ‚€100 million from money retrieved from overcharging by banks, according to press reports. So far ‚€20 million has been passed to charity because the Financial Regulator has been unable to trace those account holders who were overcharged.

The Guide Dogs for the Blind Association is canvassing supporters to seek their views on legacy fundraising whilst prompting them to either leave a legacy themselves or confirm whether they have already included the charity in their Will.

Disabled children's charity Whizz-Kidz has created an online game about running to try to encourage people to run the London Marathon and raise funds.
The new interactive game, due to launch soon, is being highlighted on the front page of the charity's website.

Save the Children UK is the most parent-friendly charity in the UK to work for, according to a new survey by the Guardian which covers a range of sectors individually.
Also deemed 'above average' are the NSPCC, Oxfam, RSPB, Wellcome Trust, National Trust, Unicef UK and Leonard Cheshire.

RNID, the charity for deaf and hard of hearing people, has appointed Jackie Ballard as its new Chief Executive. She will take up her new post in October.
She takes over from John Low, who has been appointed as the new Chief Executive of the Charities Aid Foundation.

Research Autism have linked up with phone recycling firm Recipero, who have launched a new anti-theft system to avoid benefiting from the proceeds of crime.
