Getting Started with TikTok: An Introduction to Fundraising & Supporter Engagement

British Heart Foundation improves design of two of its fundraising sites

The British Heart Foundation has redesigned and improved the supporter experience for two of its fundraising sites, Gift of Hope and Give in Celebration.
Working with digital product studio Addition, part of charity marketing agency WPN Chameleon, the heart charity has now relaunched both sites. Gift of Hope is a tribute platform where people make donations in memory of loved ones, and Give in Celebration invites donors to give money instead of physical gifts for special days, like birthdays, weddings or anniversaries.

Fundraising pages can now be set up on the sites in four simple steps. The donation process has also been improved, allowing for faster and simpler process for both card and PayPal donations.
Payments are taken via Stripe and emails are handled through DotMailer.
The new simpler designs are device-responsive.

“Our supporters are so important to our life saving research that we wanted to make sure their experience in using these digital experiences was sector-leading. We think the relaunched products set the bar in how to handle in-mem and in-celebration digital destinations.”

Louise Ryan, Addition Head of Product Development and lead architect on the project added:

“Creating a custom product and supporter experience doesn’t rule out using standard services where it makes sense to save time, money and provide a great ready-made UX.”
