Darren Maylam – Rising Star at IoF Fundraising Convention 2016

Darren Maylam, Community Fundraising Manager at St Wilfrid’s Hospice, completed the line-up of rising stars in fundraising at this month’s Fundraising Convention in London.
Maylam was the ninth of a group of fundraisers who had something valuable to say but who had not yet spoken at the Institute of Fundraising’s annual Convention.
He used his nine minutes on the stage that is home to the London Symphony Orchestra to remind fundraisers that members of Generation Z are looking to charities for integrity and the chance to co-create experiences.

Following Maylam’s presentation, Joe Jenkins, Director of Fundraising & Supporter Engagement at The Children’s Society and Chair of the Rising Stars session, a new event at Fundraising Convention, invited the audience to thank all nine speakers again.
