The International Charity Bazaar, a charity fundraising scheme organised by the diplomatic corps in Dublin, is inviting applications for its 2016 round of funding.
The International Charity Bazaar (ICB) raises funds for Irish registered charities through various annual events and activities, including the Diplomatic Ball, the International Charity Bazaar and the sales of the International Charity Cookbook.
In the past five years ICB has raised funds for charities such as the Fr McVerry Trust, Focus Ireland, SPIRASI, The Lantern Centre, Sisters of St Joseph, Headstrong and the Irish Wheelchair Association.
In 2015 €85,000 was donated to nine Irish charities from across the Republic of Ireland. Funds raised during the year are disbursed at the bazaar towards the end of the year.
Applications from registered charities have to be made by 31st March 2016, with successful charities notified by 2nd May. The maximum grant is €15,000 and grants cannot go towards salaries or bursaries.
