MACMILLAN CANCER SUPPORT APPOINTS DIRECTORS OF EXTERNAL AFFAIRS AND DIRECTOR OF FUNDRAISING

Macmillan Cancer Support has created two new Directorates to help the charity fulfil its ambition to reach and improve the lives of people living with cancer.

Amanda Bringans, previously Deputy Director of Fundraising, will take up the new position of Director of Fundraising. She will be responsible for all fundraising including regional activity. In 2006, Macmillan raised £102.8 million, 99% from fundraising.

Hilary Cross and Lynda Thomas become Directors of External Affairs. Previously Deputy Directors of Communications, they will now take up the new directorate which will include campaigns, policy, research and corporate intelligence as well as communications and marketing.

All three will be joining Macmillan’s Executive Management Team and will take up their new appointments on 10 September.
